Autumn is nearing its end..
and winter is not so far.

OFF with the FUR!
Thanks for my good friend, Dawn (whom i used to call darleeeng) from China who sent this fur coat as a gift.
It has been more than 3 years (i guess) in my closet. First time i wear it for this particular "pictorial".

2-Minute Blog: Life is so Full....

1. Life is complicated! I know you've been trying to understand the equation above.

2. Life is full of numbers. I hate numbers when calculating. I love numbers when spending. =)

3. Life is full of "sh?t". Public transportation is on strike again today. They had a strike last week.

4. Life is full of extremes. This morning it's so cold outside. I put two jackets on, a stocking and a pair of socks. Inside home, it's so hot. The heater is killing me.

5. Life is filled with temptations. I'm a bit hungry now. But, I am eating toasted biscuits for breakfast. Rice was definitely gone out of my morning menu. Aiming to loose weight.

6. Life is full of luck. I bought a gray boots for me today. My size is 34. Lucky me, size 36 fits. That's why they called it "on sale", they're wrongly sized.

7. Life is full of enthusiasm. My daughter went to bed around 1am in the morning. I'm glad she woke up around 7:30am without no struggle or cries. She's excited for school.

8. Life is full of smell. I'm smelling fish: i bought 1.5 kilos of fish for today's dinner; clean and prepared them. I bought Vanilla scented oil with sticks for our room.

9. Life is full of clicks. I won't miss writing/blogging today. Is there something called click-counter? i wonder how many clicks i will make this thursday.

10. Life is full of wonders. I know you'll look again at the picture above. =)

This is just a 2-minute blog. If you stay here for more than 5 minutes, don't blame my title, ok?

And There it Goes...(Again)

8:20am: Me and Zendra went out to bring Jaki to school.

8:30am: Zendra was with me at the bank to get some money.

8:50am: Zendra and i are waiting for her school to open up.

9:00am: bell rings. headed inside the school.

Zendra's not so excited to go to school. she's fine when i dressed her up this morning. i bid goodbye to her and her teacher elisa brought her into her arms.

9:15am: i loaded my internet key, then bought a bottle of fresh milk.

9:18am: i am home, ready to make the laundry.

9:20am: Preschool on the phone: "ma'am you need to get your daughter as soon as possible. She doesn't stop crying. we measure her temperature, she got 37.9°C of fever."

Me: "oh...poor little girl. i'm coming."

9:40am: i signed some routine papers and got Zendra out of the school.

9:50am: we're home, and she vomitted. she's very warm. poor daughter of mine =(

flu is here again. the change of weather isn't helping so much.

hope she gets better soon.

07 November 2011

Sigh, It's Monday!

Monday scene:

Zendra: "Mamma, ayaw school..." (with the sobbing effect) while i'm dressing her up for school.
Me: "Hahanapin ka ni Maestra Cinzia...sige na, jacket na..."
Zendra: "Waaaaaaaahh.." and continues to make an eardrum breaking howl.
Me: "Ay naku..dali na late na tayo...."
Zendra: "ayaw....waaaaaaah...wahhhhhhh..."

Me: Lord, keep me sane!

Another Celebration

My mom-in-law's real plan was to eat out at the restaurant. but, we tried having our reservations, but the restaurant's full. almost all the restaurants we called! so, she decided to have an urgent grocery and our friend (who's a good cook) fastly made 4 meals in a half day! wow! pancit, sweet and sour meatballs, menudo, friend chiken & shrimps and leche flan. no birthday cake! =) my husband didn't expect those menus because, he had a simple celebration last saturday already with his close pals and had some drinks.
but, anyway, my mom-in-law invited some close friends over and i invited mine too.

while everybody in the dining/kitchen are busy, my two kids were busy with their things. Jaki with my hub's new Ipad, Zendra with cutting papers...then both of them with Ipod's. When my friend Winnie's daughter arrived, Zendra had her playmate. i would say that Zendra's still not used to having someone around in the house to play with her own toys. she always grab it right away and sometimes push her playmate. sigh...i hope she's not like that in school. i was a bit embarassed Zendra hurting other kids. but, anyway, kids are just kids, i'm glad my friend (the mother of Maxim) really understand. the girls had a great time too with Jona, cousin of Winnie.
the small party lasted until 10pm.

Happy Birthday again Babes!

He Got It!

wishing or not, my hub got an Ipad for his 38th birthday!
now, who will use it first? =)

TGIF #34: Something To Get Busy With

I would say i'm not that so busy with too much work. I still refer to myself as a busy woman of the house. I only have a part time job for 3 hours every night, and another extra 3 hours every Tuesday. I have more time now in my computer, especially on facebook: checkin' what's new on my friend's lives, checking fotos and having fun with the voting contests.

For Thank God It's Five-day...here is my list!

1. On Facebook: There's another contest and of course, my fave candidate is my daughter. since my son doesn't want to be a part of any contests.
Here's how to vote: click this link on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/iDO.kidswear?sk=app_216227201757698&app_data=600272121_2112011111241
LIKE THE PAGE first.
Click VOTA, then ALLOW, then check (dichiaro....which means i declare that i'm a facebook member before Nov. 1, 2011)
That's Easy! The voting is until January 13, 2012. So expect me to be busy until that day. =)

2. It's more than 3 weeks since i got the Census Form and i haven't filled it up. It was sent to us (residents of Italy) and we should fill it up and submit it back to the post office. Those who will not submit will be fined. Oh ow! i have to finish it up before Nov. 20, 2011 (the last submission) comes.

3. The other contest for my daughter is still on-going at Fotomonelli. The voting is until Nov. 30, 2011. She's currently the top 1, with 362 votes today.
Same thing, 2 easy steps to vote: Go to Facebook
Click the link and LIKE the page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fotomonelli/217456711640700
Click the link and like her FOTO http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150324740017122&set=o.217456711640700&type=1&theater

4. Lot of fotos are filing up on my pc. It always says: insufficient space. my laptop's got only 60GB for files, and it's all fotos that have eaten those bytes. don't ask me how many fotos i got. I need an extra storage and a lot of time, compiling them on dvd's and printing the best ones and making a scrapbook.

5. Our sky cable has been cut off since October 31. we had it cut because it costs too much. The problem is our normal antenna can't be connected from the main building antenna. technicality problems, my husband's more expert than me regarding that. So, i decided to have the TFC (The Filipino Channel) cable. I am busy inquiring, but it's always the machine who answers. I might as well go to their main Milan office here.

Wish me luck to finish them all! Happy Friday!

Swap Meet

i am having so much trouble dressing up my little girl for school today. she was crying, and doesn't want to be touched. but of course, i don't want her to be "the boss". she can't afford to be absent (for the nth time) in school. it's thursday! between crying and refusing, i won the battle. she was continuously sobbing while sitting on her stroller when we got out. there was a flea market or swap meet nearby our house. to end my agony in making peace with my rebel girl, i bought her this cute pig formed lollipop made of jelly and marshmallows. i don't worry about sweets in the morning. she doesn't eat oftenly sweet foods & maybe she regards this stuff as a toy.

she brought it like a flag: hands-up! so, i just smiled. kids are oftentimes corruptible. my ears are noise-free, at last. then, we headed to her school swiftly.

i returned to the flea market after bringing my daughter to school. just like every thursdays, i always give my self the luxury to roam and look around, alone. no kids telling me "i want to go home." i'm not fond of so much crowd, but i can't help looking for new/used/old stuffs for sale.

Flea markets had been a part of Milan's culture. from the less charming stuffs to the nice vintage and rare stuffs, you can find it here. i would say, there are more chinese vendors these year than the past. who can beat the chinese' low prices? but, of course, italian stuffs got the better quality.

my plan is to look for a scarf (it's getting cold). i can't find my scarves (or maybe i gave them away?). every booth scarf, i sinked in: 3euro...nah...too colorful. 5euro...too much designs...10 euro...too much price. in the end i didn't buy any scarf. turning to some new stuffs, i saw this cute designed bottle. 2.50euro! yeah ok, i'm an iced tea freak so it would be useful. since i discovered a powdered italian tea (green, peach, lemon, etc) for only 0.40eurocents a sachet (to dilute in 1.5 liters of water). in all my years here, i think the global crisis made italians think of "tingi-tingi na rin. you can't see sachets back then. it's helpful for the budget. like, for a bottled tea, it would costs 1.20euro a liter. ok, i have talent to calculate once in a while. hahaha! ooops! the vendor handed me a perfumed oil: orchid scent! you can't get this freebies at the supermarket.

i continue to look around. i saw some used stuffs in one side. lot of women are trying their best shots to pull stuffs from a mountainous piles of clothes. that's the thing i hate. the heck, the sign says: "6euro: try it first, no exchange, no return". actually, they are not really "used", but, mostly they were unwanted gifts, wrong size or had some damages, so a lot of times they still got their tags intact. i cowardly dive in and saw a nice brown jacket. could have been perfect, if it fits me. sigh, it's too big! any costume party won't allow me wearing that. hahaha. i get tired of swimming around and i looked up. whew! nicer stuffs are hanging! why didn't i see that first? hahaha. without a blink, i told the men-vendor, "i want to have that one!" pointing up at that cute burgundy leather jacket. "sana magkasya sa akin!" i'm wishing silently. i fitted it up. perfect! there goes my 6euro! i didn't even notice there's still a tag inside the jacket. lucky me!

Now, should i do a Sarah Palin wave too? almost same jackets right?

the last thing i bought is fish. one tip for fish seekers: buy a fish before 12 noon, the fish vendors will actually sell all the fishes for 5euro! they will not hide it and sell it again the next day. so, i got some fish called Sauri (like that of galunggong)! i believe they weigh 3 kilos! "swerte ko". normally it's 7euro per kilo.

i spent 2.50 + 6.00 + 5.00 = 13.50euro today!
expect my husband to say tonight, "o, ano na namang nabili mo sa mercato?" =)
