Here are 5 facts about spongebob:
Spongebob fact #1
Did you know that Spongebob's original name was Sponge boy? But that name was all ready taken so they went with Spongebob!
Spongebob fact #2
There are 10 seasons of Spongebob total! And there will probably be more!Spongebob fact #3
Patrick's rock sometimes has a small living room ,and sometimes it's just a huge bedroom. And other times it's a whole house! You never know what it's going to look like under Patrick's rock.Spongebob fact #4
Spongebob was created by Steve Hillenburg, a former marine biologist and science teacher who went to art school to study cartooning. Like spongebob, Hillenburg once worked as a fry cook at a seafood restaurant.Spongebob fact #5
Did you know that Spongebob lives in a pineapple because pineapples are a common motif in Polynesian crafts. In addition, Hillenburg says he thought Spongebob "would like the smell" of a pineapple home. Smell is a very important sense for sea animals.

TGIF #25: something snoopy

I love Peanuts Character. One of them is snoopy!
1) Peanuts is a syndicated daily and Sunday comic strip written and illustrated by Charles M. Schulz, which ran from October 2, 1950, to February 13, 2000 (the day after Schulz's death), continuing in reruns afterward.
2) The initial cast of Peanuts was small, featuring only Charlie Brown, Shermy, Patty (not to be confused with Peppermint Patty), and a beagle, Snoopy.
3) Snoopy is a fictional character in the long-running comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. He is Charlie Brown's pet beagle. Snoopy began his life in the strip as a fairly conventional dog, but eventually evolved into perhaps the strip's most dynamic character — and among the most recognizable comic characters in the world. The original drawings of Snoopy were "slightly patterned" after Spike, one of Schulz's childhood dogs

4)Snoopy, whose fictional birthday has been established as October 4, made his first appearance in the strip of October 4, 1950, two days after the strip premiered. He was first identified by name on November 10. Schulz was originally going to call him "Sniffy" (as described in the 25th anniversary book), until he discovered that name was used in a different comic strip. He changed it to "Snoopy" after remembering that his late mother Dena Schulz had commented that if their family were ever to acquire a third dog, it should be called Snoopy, an affectionate term in Norwegian (the actual term is "Snuppa").
5) On December 12, 1958, Snoopy slept on top of his doghouse, rather than inside it, for the first time. Thereafter, Snoopy was seldom seen to venture inside the doghouse, except to retrieve something, instead spending the bulk of his time sitting or lying on its gable roof.

UP wonderment

my son Jaki and my little daughter Kiara had been watching the movie UP since yesterday. i guess they played it 5 to 6 times already. they're watching it over and over again today (while i'm writing this blog).
(translated, since my son talks italian)
Jaki: Ma, is it true that hundreds of balloons could lift up the whole house?
Me: No, not possible. it only happens in the movie. in real life, balloons can't lift up the whole house.
Jaki: ah..now i understand.
(pause)
Jaki: So the little boy and the little girl in the first part becomes wife and husband, then grew old?
Me: Yes, they got married and grow old.
Jaki: So, when i grow old, i'll be my sister's father?
Me: No, when you grow old, you'll still be Kiara's brother.
Jaki: and who will be my mother when i grow old?
Me: I am still your mother when you grow old.
Jaki: ah...even if kiara and you and dad grow old, nothing will change, i'm still your son, you are still my Ma, and dad is still my papi...?
Me: Yes!
(pause)
Kiara: baaaaa..baaaaa... (seeing too many ballons in the movie)
she got her balloon and i saw her trying to tie her toy to a balloon.
it was hilarious! she never gave up even she never knew how to tie.
yeah, my kids really amuse me.

TGIF #3: something garfield

for today's five, i would like to share one of my fave cartoon characters: GARFIELD
Garfield began in the seventies created by Jim Davis. He was an unknown cartoonist then, publishing strips featuring insects. at that time, most of the strips in the newspapers were all about dogs, so he finally decided to base his new strip about a cat. the protagonist's name came from Jim's grandfather: James Davis Garfield. in june 19, 1978, garfield debuted in 41 american newspapers.
here are Five (funny) Garfield's Laws:

cats move at a speed proportionate to the amount of food at their destination. they may even exceed the speed of sound.
cats are independent. cats are loners. they are underfoot only when you're carrying groceries.
cats instinctively know the precise moment their owners will awake. then they awaken them ten minutes sooner.
cats are naturally attracted to only one type of human being: the type who is allergic to cats.
cats can't hear commands. cats can't understand cajoling, but they do sense when you want to take them to the veterinarian.
that's it!
happy meowwing...
