wednesday thoughts

it's still cloudy outside. a bit of rain every now and then. it has been going on like that, for a week now. it's 15°C outside. cold and feels like we're in autumn season, yet it's the month of May. we're supposed to be in our shirts this time of the year. but we're not.

i got things rattling around my head now, couple of which are political 'coz it's election fever in the philippines. from time to time, i monitor the election results. the ballot counting isn't finished yet for the presidential and vice presidential bets. the election was held last May 10. i guess by May 13, they will finally post the final and official results. Noynoy Aquino (son of former Philippine president Cory Aquino) had no worries now for the presidential seat. he got over 13 million votes already, compared to the other contender, Joseph Estrada (former Phil. President) which has only more than 8 million votes. i like Noynoy anyway. i hope he'll clean the government, since he's into anti-corruption. that's his priority.

for the locals, my high school classmates, Sonny Venzuela won again as councilor back in my hometown (Lucban, Quezon) and Bong Talabong won as a board member in Quezon. good for both of them.

while i am writing this, my daughter zendra is busy watching her Elmo videos (her first obsession is teletubbies). i guess i have seen the elmo stuffs a thousand times. from my son Jaki's pre-school years up to now, i almost memorize the songs & dialogues (english & italian)

"la la la la, la la la la...elmo's world..
la la la la, la la la la, elmo's world
elmo loves his goldfish,
his crayon too...
that's elmo's world..

This is the song- la la la la-
Elmo's song.
La la la la la la la la
Elmo's song.
La la la...

He loves to sing- la la la la-
Elmo's song.
La la la la la la la la
Elmo's song.
He wrote the music;
he wrote the words.
That's Elmos's song.

my daughter's hopping on her bed!

when she's annoyed she points at my laptop and says "mo, mo". means, "ma, get out of there, it's my elmo pc time"....hahaha.

the picture up here is what my pc wallpaper looks like now. she giggled everytime i turn on my laptop and sees elmo.

my laundry bin is overflowing now. it's hard to dry clothes because of the rain. the wet clothes are hanged all over the house because i can't hang them out of the balcony. --sigh--sigh--
i can't even stroll around with zendra. it's cold and you have no idea what time the rain will pour. yesterday, it seems like a storm. my colleagues at work were soaked from the heavy rains: wet pants and shoes. i was glad i arrived earlier.

it's almost 12:30 pm. time for lunch. i'll just have some tuna and bread.

to the kitchen...!

scala gang

yesterday was a lovely day. i have an appointment at 12:30am at ACLI/CAF (a government office for assisting paperworks, for free). i applied for an ISEE (sort of economic equivalent indicator), that will serve for my son's enrollment for the next school year. if you have that kind of thing, they'll calculate the tuition fee 50% less. one way to save money.

i can't leave my kids at home 'cause nobody's there to look after them. so as usual, we're the so-called "scala gang" (stair gang) my son look at us three, the same as the stairs regarding our heights. sort of steps 1 (zendra), 2 (jaki), 3 (me). i dont know where his ideas came from. we arrived early at the acli office, around 12:15am, but the lady called me up right away. of course i provided all the fotocopies, even not asked, so in five minutes, the paper works are finished. i have an ISEE, valid for 1 year. the old one though is still valid until the 23rd of april.

jaki asks to sit down at the fountain nearby. zendra's a bit startled of the roaring sound of the water when the fountain gets higher. she literally runs, yet smiling.

we headed home after an hour and ate lunch. i have to get to work, still nobody home, so i called my brother jun if i can leave the kids for a while and my hub's cousin will fetch them later. 4pm, we left home and in 10 minutes, we're at the my brother's.

kids had their fun. of course, my cam's always in action. they helped in "cleaning" the house by sliding and swimming on the floors. my brother can relax and erase his cleaning schedule. =)

where's the spring?

it was already snowing yesterday night. am i still in milan? yes! are we at winter season? no! it's almost spring season and it is still so cold and snowing. in all my years living here, it's the first time i've experienced this kind of thing. march should be: no winter jackets, all sweat shirt-days, sunny and great wheather. is this what they call global weather change?

my french boss years ago once said to me, in the future winter will be during april or may. we are heading closer now. it's march! after i dropped my son in school i decided to walk thru the park going to my daughter's doctor. it's a short cut. so i just admired the view and captured the vastness of white all over.

i'm just taking pix with my cp, so dont ask me how many times i tried capturing myself here...hahaha...

Cloudy Wednesday

the weather's continuously challenging us in our wardrobe. yesterday was a sunny one. today is a cloudy one. no wonder the kids are having colds now. as usual, it's wednesday, time for me to drop my son in school. i'm just in the mood to capture him with my cellfone.

you can see a busy street in the morning. everybody's going for work, going to school, etc. it's almost 8:20am. you can almost dance to the cars honking and signing of the drivers..."allora muoveti" (well..? move!)

this is where we always pass turning left from our gate. we saw colorful banners in posts. there must be something happening this week.

walking across the street...with some kids (and moms) heading too for school. see that car? that must not be parked over there. we have to walk one by one because it's blocking the pathway. some people just dont care.

this is the second gate of jaki's school. see the lines? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, means grade 1, 2 and so on. you just have to wait up in the respective lines, so when the bell rings, everyone can pick up their respective kids without confusion.

this the view of my son's elementary school. i'm going home...

i saw this poster. so on march 7, it's our zone's feast!

it says: 7th Spring Feast. all business establishments are open on sunday. rides, flea markets and fun awaits you. i'm looking forward to it. i would never miss "frittelli" (flat dough with sugar). kids will be excited.

before going up, i passed by here at "panetteria" (bread store). i bought 3 bottle of fresh milk and the woman gave me 2 packs of yogurt. "è un'omaggio" (it's free). good!

i'm thinking what to eat for breakfast. zendra's already awake playing with my hub's cousin.
home at last!
