F Girls In Italy

F: Friendship

Dewie and i have been friends, all because of my childhood friend Ted, who became Dew's husband. We've been friends virtually on friendster, now a dead social network, and, luckily, we continued over facebook. I may have long known her husband since childhood (obviously our house back home is adjacent to theirs), but Dew and i happened to talk much thru facebook. Getting the feel of "old time friends". We both love writing and blogging. We already shared a lot, personal and mom stuffs.

F: First Sight

When she told me, they will be touring Europe, i was ecstatic. At last i will be able to see her. I really love the way she dress. Swak na swak, with accessories and all. Oozing with confidence. Medyo kulang ako nun, magpapahawa ako =). Meeting her for the first time at the central station, my first word was "oooh..geez, hi"...tipong lost for words. It's her! The slim & smart girl with a million dollar smile, that i always see & have in mind.

I'm sure we're discussing what to wear next =)

F: Frisky
Virtually, i like her na. In person, i like her more. Hindi maarte, masarap ka-chika. No need for ice breaker. The only one we need is a brake. Ala na'ng preno sa chikas kasi. =) Energy talaga!

F GIRLS! --- If you click this word, you will know what it means for us.

The question is, what did the F Girls do in Italy? 16GB SD memory card of digital slr cameras won't be enough. I can't find exact words to describe how we both enjoyed each other's company and how we've been fab in our european styled-everyday attire. 9 days of hopping from cities to cities, savoring italian and filipino foods, the budget may be too high, but in the end, we can't tag a price how much satisfied we were.

Grand Canal (Canal Grande) in Venice won't ever be the same again without us =)

F: Future
I hope it's not the first and last time we'll be together. Maybe soon i will be gallivanting over the streets of Singapore where she resides. Who knows? Or in the future, we might see ourselves in other european countries. (ipon ng madugong budget!) Anyway, our friendship has been enriched by this tour.

Vacation's Over

Hanging around Arco della Pace, Milan

Back to reality. It's Monday today.
Back to work. Back to being a busy mom.
My second son is now at first year middle school, so for sure he needs me more in his assignments everyday. Zendra is on her second year at prep-school, and she'll be busy with castings and pictorials again, for sure. I have a lot of stories to tell and photos to share. I just don't have enough time to write some blogs. So, hang on there. I'm not going anywhere.
See yah!

TGIF #36: Something to Plan

My childhood friend is coming to Italy, together with his wife next week. They are based in Singapore actually.

Got to plan ahead.

1. Target cities to go: Milan (obviously, i live here), Rome, Florence, Pisa, Venice, Verona, Bergamo & Lake Como.

2. Browse online about the cities, places to go, where to eat, etc. Provide maps if necessary.

3. Know how much the ticket costs for the train and bus. Know how much too for the entrance tickets to museums, places, etc. as well as opening and closing hours.

4. Sketch an itinerary, to estimate travel time & budget.

5. Look at the weather forecast, to plan better what to wear and bring! =)

So, see yah around. I'll be busy for 9 days!

Madone, Bergamo

we had traveled a lot this month of august, and i guess we need a little breather. an invitation from my hub's auntie from bergamo is most welcome. totally relaxing weekend. we practically did nothing, but eat and sleep. =)

This church bells use to rang every half hour. If you live near here, you'll get used to it.

Parocchia di San Gioanni Battista

This is my view from the terrace where we stayed.

this is just so relaxing
best habit: doing nothing! =)

i don't have with me my Nikon SLR this weekend. my friend borrowed it from their Rome trip, so this is the best i can capture from the phone cam. have a good day.

MAY & ME

"Life is partly what we make it, and partly what is made by the friends whom we choose."
- Tehyi Hsieh

i can't remember the exact date when we became friends. More or less 7 years if i'm not mistaken. we just met virtually at the blogging site, Yahoo 360 Beta (which was already closed now), and the rest is history. our friendship just goes stronger and sweeter through the years.

Cheers to our friendship!

Fun Discoveries

i'm not a computer geek. but i'm fond of browsing, reading and discovering. in my generation, everything is "simple": no internet yet, no cell phones, no ipad's, etc. etc. if you want to discover fastly, stuffs that are techie...browse into your kid's, niece', nephew's profiles, or browse more on facebook or twitter-- then you will see cute stuffs.
so, i saw this gifboom at my niece beautiful tumblr page. tadaaaaaaaan! i immediately downloaded the apps and tried it out. i have to admit i just discover the Instagram application last week. dah? i can hear my teenage son "Ma...it's has long been invented..."

well, it's always better late than never. =)

I Am a Hero =)

No language can express the power, and beauty, and heroism, and majesty of a mother's love. It shrinks not where man cowers, and grows stronger where man faints, and over wastes of worldly fortunes sends the radiance of its quenchless fidelity like a star.
